Clarinet-About Ballad for Ken
Ballad for Ken is a tribute to the memory and artistry of the great jazz clarinetist and saxophonist, Ken Peplowski who passed away unexpectedly on a Jazz cruise after having battled multiple myeloma for 5 years. Ken was a respected and much admired jazz clarinet and saxophonist who made numerous recordings and appearances during his career.
“The piece was composed by me on the morning of 10th February, 2026 and recorded in the afternoon of the same day. After numerous requests from friends and fans on Facebook, I decided to publish the work here. I wanted to make the piece accessible to other clarinetists, so I kept the technical demands of the solo section at an intermediate level, rather than the more challenging and virtuosic style that a live jazz performance might engender”. (Andy Firth)
This product comes with soloist part, piano accompaniment (with chord changes), mp3 performances and backing tracks.
